I just saw my next Senator (Obama) on the nightly news
He is a very good speaker, where his honesty and his smarts shine through with every word.

He is handling this Ryan thing very well and even gets a dig in against the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy without actually saying VRWC or Republican nastiness.

He is good. I cannot see how some Johnny Come Lately can beat him.

1. Unless I'm mistaken, there IS NO 'Johnny come lately'
I'm from Illinois, and if (should have kept my pants on)Ryan, hasn't dropped out yet, I think he will soon.

5. Obama was on the news commenting on Ryan's dropping out of the race
So Ryan quit.

Obama said something like it is a sorry world we live in where private lives of candidates are paraded in front of the public. He said it is sad that politics has gotten into this nasty state. It has been nasty for a while. It started with Clinton and has (then he had a big pregnant pause) continued on from there.

He said he tried all day to get in touch with Ryan to express his condolences and to wish him well.

2. Ryan is HILARIOUS ...

He's complaining about a "new low" in media behavior.

I got news for you. The president never took Hillary to swing clubs and tried to get her to fuck in front of everybody.

BTW, what people fail to point out is that HE DOESN'T DENY THE STORY. He just says it isn't against the law. That means it's TRUE!!!!!

3. I heard on the WMAQ news at 5:00 pm that
Ryan is in an "undisclosed location". That just absolutely cracked me up. Who does this loser think he is? Dick FU Cheney!!! Hilarious isn't word for him. Pathetic is more appropriate.

4. The beauty of it is
he STILL believes that he is senatorial material.

Oh, wait.

Trent Lott. John Ashcroft. shit.
he may have been right.

Obama is class. No act. The extreme opposite of the spoiled little smiley face who would rather prong his gorgeous wife in front of others for his own kicks.

Edgar and Topinka sed no. Thompson would never expose himself to anyone but his boys, and never ever run for office again. The remaining cast of clowns is long, but, Rauschenberger is, at least, a decent guy. But no way can we let Obama lose.

7. As long as Edgar stays out the race it is Obama's
to loose.

8. I don't think Edgar would go in
Edgar would never run unless he was assured of mucho funding along with support from the RNC. He would have a hard time filling his coffers considering Obama was leading by 20+ in the polls before the divorce allegations came out.

9. Rasmussen Poll today had Edgar within MoE.
Edited on Sat Jun-26-04 12:53 AM by tritsofme
Ryan loosing by 25.

Peter Fitzgerald down by 7

Topinka down by 11.

This seems to prove my earlier contention that if he gets in the race, he could win.

I also believe that Edgar will not enter the race, but if he does, watch out.

10. did anyone else enjoy
the high class this cretin showed in giving his resignation speach?
First he keeps the press waiting for an hour, then he doesn't even bother showing up in person. NO, he sends a surrogate, who hands out a release.

And in the release, does he even consider blaming himself? No! He is blameless, it is the media's fault. NO wonder I had such a visceral reaction to this JACK!ass.

not even an apology for misleading the GOP, the state of Illinois or anyone.

The man was a scum.
