2. It's more than just money
Several of the republican candidates support Delay and call him friend. THAT's more important than a contribution from his PAC (so say's Seth and he's a nice guy.....)

10. Latham got some money,
I'm sure I read. Can't remember how much.

And I think the Travel Channel called I-80 the largest in the country, though I may be wrong. It happens sometimes.

12. Welcome to DU
and to the Iowa Forum.

You can get just about everything you need (and some things you don't) 24-7 at the I-80 truck stop!

I think Latham got the most from Delay (but interesting enough, King got all his $15,000 in the last couple of years).

It will be fun to see Delay behind bars (and hopefully several of his cronies will be there to keep him company!)

13. Thanks for the welcome!
I'm an Iowa native (Davenport), and recently moved to Illnois from Eagle Grove. I miss Iowa--which a friend recently tells me means "Illinois Only Without Assholes". It's funny because it's true. Hope to return one day. Until then, sites like this keep me in touch.

Latham got $26,000?! That scum! And he always tries to paint himself as a "moderate". I can never figure why people in Wright County keep voting for him. Most of them admit the're Repub because they just always have been, but they're uncomfortable with the current feel of the party. Then they vote for a jerk who always votes the party line and takes money from Delay!! When I think of Iowa, I think of corn, beans, eggs, hogs. It turns out there are a lot of sheep too!!!
