And really am pissed that our good citizens are so scared by this drivel that they vote these assholes into office. Each election cycle we have a contest among the right who can be the most fear- mongering and religious-appearing.
In my half-century plus of life I have watched quiet little Iowa go from a fairly open and tolerant society (in certain locations) to a people who fear their own shadows. And that is for little reason, but is blown way out of proportion by ugly little politicians interested only in getting elected and then bilking the public whn they get in office!
What did that one guy say - all we have to fear is fear itself. Oh yeah that guy lead us out of a depression and won a world war.
