1. No pun . . . Dead On Arrival
Unless Mike Gronstal has a brain transplant, the death penalty will not even clear the Judiciary Committee in the Senate, let alone come to the floor. This is all f___ing b_____it posturing for 2006 by Republican State Senator Larry "Fibbin" McKibben who has got nothing better to do now that he is no longer Chair of the Ways & Means Committee.

2. Well Culver has said he supports the death penalty in limited situations
So if he is indeed the next Governor, there is a slim chance it could become law. And quite frankly, I am getting to the point where I feel that freaks like those assholes that allegedly raped and killed Jetseta Gage probably should be removed from society for good. I have stated on numerous occasions that lifetime solitary confinement with no contact whatsoever with the outside world is what should happen to those dirty freaks, but there is the likliehood that my proposal would be struck down in Supreme Court, so screw 'em. They cannot breathe the same air as I do.

3. Gronstal said last year that the regressives had a decade
to do something and they did nothing. I would say DOA for this year at least. Besides, the regressives have to whip up a frenzy on gay marriage going in to the elections of 2006.

5. Nope...never happen
Smoke and mirrors, intended to distract. They're scrambling for a hot-button issue to save their hides.

6. I agree...
They might use this to stir the base...but it won't go anywhere.

I look for this, gay marriage, and abortion to be key issues next year leading up to the elections. In my opinion, nothing will change any of the current positions, but they will be used to fire up the kool-aid drinkers.

7. They might use it as an election hot-button to wake up sleepubg Repubs
but it's not going to make to the floor.
