Bentley Found Guilty In Jetseta Gage's Death

Scott County jury found Roger Paul Bentley guilty of the first-degree kidnapping and first-degree murder of 10-year-old Jetseta Gage after little more than two hours of deliberation.

It didn't take the jury long to come back. May Roger Bentley rot in hell for what he did to that little girl.

That bastard is one of the only people whom I believe should be executed. I wish I would have been on that jury, although I would have gotten thrown off for extreme bias. Then again, I hope he lives a long and lonely existence in Fort Madison. I mean lonely as in isolated. He needs to wake up screaming every night while thinking about his crimes. Solitary confinement for life for it,er, him.

If he's allowed out into the general prison population he might not last long, which wouldn't really be such a bad thing. I don't think the rest of the prisoners, or guards, care much for child killers.

my only regret is it happened in IOWA....lucky asswipe gets life....as opposed to what lil Jetseta got....this crime happened in Cedar Rapids, 1 1/2 hours away (change of venue cuz it was so heinious)

What a piece of slime. Guess the change of venue didn't help him too much. They made short work of the trial and deliberations. I hope that little girl can rest in piece. I'm afraid if it had been my child or grandchild, I'd have gone looking to kill him myself.

It has been such a sad case. I'm still totally disgusted with her mother for allowing him into her life in the first place, especially after knowing Bentley's brother had molested Jetseta previously. Thankfully they have removed her other children from the home. Let's hope they are in a good home and will someday put this behind them.

He (Mr. CornField) read the reports in the paper about what happened to the girl. I knew my stomach wasn't strong enough for it so I stayed away. It's too damn bad that Jetseta had to die before the state stepped in and made sure those children were safe.
