Check out this ltte. First District people
But I suppose anyone can read it. It is by candidate Bill Gluba. Here is an excerpt.

"Zero Tolerance for Obscene Profits
George Bush stuck it to the American people again in his State of the Union Address when he served as an apologist for big oil companies. He tried to justify the outrageousprofits of big oil. Exxon, for exampla, reported a 42 percent increase in profits from last year. They made a record $37 billion-that's obscene."

He goes on to point out some other facts, such as the profits are bigger than the economies of 125 countries, etc. Overall, it's not a bad letter. It's only fair that this paper print this letter. After all, they printed some tripe from Whalen a couple of weeks ago. To see the complete letter, go to www.qctimes.net and click on opinion. Then click on letters to the editor.
