Tell Grassley to oppose the repeal of the Estate Tax |
|
Edited on Thu Feb-09-06 12:59 PM by pstans
The House of Representatives has just voted to repeal the Estate Tax and the House bill will now go on to the Senate for vote. The repeal of the estate tax is a boon to the one percent of the U.S. population who are the richest Americans. The tax does not affect the other 99% of us, even though the administration is telling Americans that the repeal of this tax will be good for us.
This is another Republican measure to cut taxes on the wealthiest in America. Getting rid of the estate tax does nothing for the rest of us. Please contact Senator Grassley to ask him to oppose repeal of this tax. Phone his office in Washington DC at 1-202-224-3744 or in Des Moines at 284-4890. With a rising federal budget deficit and domestic programs being gutted by the Bush administration, we don't need another tax cut for the rich.

2. Contacted his office on this last year - got a long letter on 'death |

tax' and how bad it is. Trying to move Grassley on any regressive policies is like raising the Titanic. He is a real water carrier for all things Bush.
