How difficult is it to build green in Iowa?
I guess it depends on what you're building.

My husband is an employee at Fronter Natural Products (locally known as Frontier Herbs) in Norway. The company, which is always concerned about environmental impact and their responsibility to society, has set out to build a new warehouse -- a green warehouse.

The process has not been easy. They couldn't find an Iowa contractor with the ability to build a green warehouse. Eventually they had to move their search to neighboring states in order to locate someone who would share their vision.

Construction is just now getting underway. I hope, following the primary, that our Democratic gubernatorial candidate takes time to visit once there is something to see at the site. (Who knows, he might learn a great deal about living easy while there.) It would be nice if other corporations would make investments in our environment and public awareness and pressure could bring about such changes.
