http://unionleader.com/article.aspx?headline=The+primary+pledge&articleId=89e68b08-01ab-4e68-a917-5ed5994066e7From the New Hampshire Union Leader:
The New Hampshire Union Leader's editorial page advocates that all potential 2008 Presidential candidates sign a general pledge of support for New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation status.
The pledge reads as follows:
“I recognize the New Hampshire Presidential primary’s historic importance in putting issues, ideas and the candidates themselves directly before the voters and will do all in my power to protect the primary in accordance with the New Hampshire Secretary of State’s charge under New Hampshire law.”<end>
Should Iowa enact a 'Caucus Pledge' like we did back in 1984 to keep our partnership w/New Hampshire alive and keep both our state's status as First in the Nation.
Sen. Bayh, Sen. Kerry and Sen. Feingold agree with IA/NH and NO STATES IN BETWEEN.
