Bush won Iowa by 10,000 votes
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Big News Network.com Thursday 18th November, 2004

Iowa's final tally shows President Bush defeated Democrat John Kerry by 10,059 votes, the Des Moines Register reported Wednesday.

The final margin amounted to less than 1 percent of the 1.5 million ballots cast by Iowa voters in the 2004 presidential election. It is the second-closest margin in the nation -- behind Wisconsin -- proportional to its total votes.

Iowa was one of four states where votes for Bush and Kerry differed by about 1 percentage point. The others were New Hampshire, where Kerry won by 9,171; New Mexico, where Bush won by 6,061 and Wisconsin, where Kerry won by 11,813, according to unofficial totals.

Thats not very many!!! I wonder if we get a recount there I suspect 10000 votes stolen!!!

Gotta question is Nader asking for a recount in Iowa and New Mexico is close too!!!

There are No coincidences

2. I will do that. I am not in Iowa (Australia, actually) - but am US citizen
I don't imagine they'd even notice that though.

3. Here's the thing...
The IA S of State had a time line posted that said the recount deadline was Nov 12! That page is gone from the Secy of State website now. Someone else posted that the DM Register said that the deadline was 3 days after the votes were certified which contradicts what was on the SOS website.

Regardless, a recount has to be requested by a candidate. That doesn't seem likely.
