Ok a call to action Iowans, and others

As some of you may know, the Pleasant Valley, IA school board recently voted 4-3 to "restrict" the book, "The Misfits". They are banning it being read to elementary school children because there is a gay character in the story, which is an anti-bullying story. I have the PV schools website where the email addresses of school board members can be found. Please email them and let them know that while you have heard good things about the school district this isn't one of them. It is book banning, no matter what type of spin they try to put on it. the school district web addy- www.pleaval.k12.ia.us. Oh I guess that you may need the names of the board members who voted for the ban. They are; Kathy Kaminski, Deborah Dayman, Joanne Messman, and Dan Schurr. AKA the censors-in-chief
