Any ideas on how to boot Romney in 06?
We need to start a whisper campaign about the fact that you never see him and John Tesh in the same room

Tesh is not just the blonde Frankenstein, he's the blonde Mitt Romney.

1. He's Lost All Credibility Here in MA
Only one in a top position here in MA, and yet still, he has over-reached and exposed himself too.

15. OMG! Mitt Romney . . .
OMG! Mitt Romney . . . exposes himself? heh.

In all seriousness, Romney is on the road to self-destruct here in Massachusetts. And may he have a happy but short endeavor doing so. I look with *rapt* anticipation as he self-implodes. Both he and his attempts to embody his religious tenets into our Massachusetts laws.

2. Yes, I have a plan to undo Romney --
-- but it involves the Roman Colliseum and very large, hungry felines.

So the logistics will be tricky.

7. are you serious ??
why would they tear down the Roman Colliseum to put up a very large Filenes ???

oh, did i misread that ?? never mind ...

on a more serious note, I doubt Romney will run again ... and regardless of whom the republicans run, the Democrats in Mass better select a candidate that appeals to the grassroots activists ... we're mad as hell and ready to go back to work, but a Beacon Hill insider candidate won't be good enough to rally the troops ... and they'd probably lose too ...

i also like Robert Reich ... I would be really turned off with Markey or Meehan ... not sure about Reilly ...

4. Who is a likely Democrat candidate to run against him?
Do we have anyone lined up, or are there several qualified people?

I hope we can turn Romney out of office. Somebody please tell me there's a good chance.

5. Dem AG Tom O'Reilly is planning to run
He's been prepping to run for some time now. And I think he has a good chance of beating Romney.

10. Dammit. I want Tom Birmingham in the corner office!!
Birmingham is a good man. He's a self-made man. A regular guy who was raised in a working class city, Chelsea. A three-decker as a home. He put himself through law school, fought for the working guy as a labor law attorney for years. He was great as Senate Majority Leader on Beacon Hill. Folks got Tom Finneran (House Speaker) mixed up w/ Tom Birmingham (Senate Majority Leader) . . . sheesh. Birmingham lost.

I'm for Birmingham for governor. But can we get him out of the private law firm where he now makes great money?

12. I couldn't agree more
Birmingham was my choice last time around.

Reich has some negatives, starting with the fact that he's never actually won an election and has no constituency. He's a policy wonk, and we do like our policy wonks in Massachusetts (see Dukakis, Michael), but he's even less personally accessable than Dukakis, which is definitely saying something.

Running the AG isn't too bad an idea-- notice they're heading that way in NY-- and points up what I think should be our major issue in 2006 and 2008 (and should have been last time around), that the Repukes are war-profiteering criminals.

14. It would not surprise me if they gave him HOMELAND SEC
He appears BLAND, the red states would use it as proof that the blues are not being punished, he plays on his so-called business and organizational skills (actually, he is a looting robber baron who buys companies, cuts them up, and steals the profit), and he would probably pass muster in hearings. Mr. Olympics, tax dodger, cah-pit-bagga!

They need someone UNEXCITING after the Kerik debacle...! To other states, who don't live with the noxious prick, he appears to be just that. And he's cunning enough to take orders, obey, and put himself in a good position to shamelessly make money on his connections after he finishes his stint.
