Boston: good cheap hotels and Labor Day availability?
Hi! Can anyone recommend a hotel in Boston, or within 5 miles, with good rates in a SAFE area? We don't need anything fancy: basic clean, a bed that doesn't sag, air conditioning and a private bathroom is all we are looking for.

Appreciate any recommendations.

Thanks.
Deb

2. thanks. As for these features, we backpacked thru Europe two yrs
ago....no a.c. anywhere, one room with bathroom shared by 8 rooms on the floor, and one bed that collapsed! LOL worth it though...

3. sounds like an adventure :)
Boston is strictly upscale luxury... a night costs what a week on that trip would cost.

9. It was in a hostel in Interlocken, Sweden. Twin beds. My hubby
weighs 320 lbs (6'7"). His twin bed crashed. So I just pulled my mattress onto the floor with him. We never got a bill for the bed...whew!

7. Try this link
Scroll down and choose the area around Boston that you want. It links to quite a few hotels for each area, in all price ranges.

8. Boston Harbor Hotel is like $400 a night-at least
there are some great boutique hotels in Boston. There's also the Colonnade, which has the city's only rooftop pool.

Some boutique hotels:

I usually check Quikbook for deals:

Hope this helps!

11. Concierge Kathy to the rescue!
Great selections. I might also add the big chain hotels if only for a good rate as well as a Back Bay location:
Sheraton Boston
The Westin, Copley Place
The Marriott, Copley Place

The Charlesmark s a great hotel, by the way.
