Alot of Massachusetts raised celebrities are hitting it big this year

It just occured to me that maybe this is the baystates biggest year in show biz since Good Will Hunting came out.

You've got:

Steve Carell (Raised in Acton) who became a certified movie star with one of the biggest critical and commercial hits of the year.



Kate Bosworth (Raised in Cohasset) who landed one of the most iconic parts of all time, Lois Lane, in what will be THE highest budgeted movie of all time up until now, Superman Returns.



Chris Evans (Raised in Sudbury) who followed up starring in the really great, underrated movie Cellular last year with the movie that, atleast, broke the box office slump, and became a commercial hit, Fantastic Four. Playing another really iconic comic book character, the Human Torch.



and Dane Cook (Raised in Arlington) who had the highest charting comedy album since Steve Martin in the 70's, and became without any doubt the hottest standup comedian in the country.



Who am I forgetting? Obviously, people like Affleck, Damon, and Uma Thurman broke out in a big way well before this year.
