3. I wouldn't worry about Scott, he's a nobody and that will be the deciding
factor in this election. People don't vote with their brain, especially in war time, they vote their fears and what people don't know scares them. How else could Bush have come so close to winning the election?

Even if in an extraordinary circumstance where people DID use their brains to vote, they would still vote for Teddy. This election can easily be won on credentials alone.

Does Massachusetts want candidate X who was Wakefield's former selectman or Ted Kennedy who has spent 44 years in the Senate?

Does Massachusetts want candidate X who is currently getting his degree in political Science or Ted Kennedy, Lawyer and Harvard Graduate?

The choice is obvious.

Even if it came down to the issues Kennedy would win. Scott is running on Immigration, flat tax, Iraq and wellness orientated health care (whatever that is). Nobody in Mass cares about immigration, a majority do not support the war, the flat tax even if it has support can hardly get people to the polls and you have to be crazy to think that a Republican cares to reform health care in your best interest.

Scott is a nobody, there's no need to get the dirt and hurt this poor mans feelings, cause he's never going to get within 10,000 votes of Kennedy. Kennedy has his seat for life or until he chooses to leave.

Frankly, I hadn't heard of Kevin Scott. However, after reading Scott's website (the url supplied in this thread), I believe he hasn't got a chance, period. His stance on political issues are way the hell out of mainstream Massachusetts voters thinking. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay the hell out of the ballpark. He's on another planet.

In short, Mr. Scott is a non-issue. Because he is his own worst enemy. And, he embraces GWBush's ideology. George Walker Bush and his neo-cons buddies are toast. T-O-A-S-T

Besides, this is Ted Kennedy country. It's Massachusetts. And, if the Republican Party wants to put up some candidate to (re) dish "dirt" about Edward Moore Kennedy that it deems relevant to voters, those tactics won't pull votes away from Kennedy here in Massachusetts. We all know that. However, this idiot Scott may be the Republican's Party hopeful to pull votes the neo-con way in other areas of the country. And, that's politics. Kennedy and Massachusetts have been down that road many times. Kennedy merely brushes himself off and keeps on running, and running . . .

Go, Ted, go! We love Ted.
