This Globe story is so vague and yet it seems to imply that Patrick and some Atlanta bank were in collusion because he worked for CocaCola which was one of the bank's biggest customers. Why is this in the paper?
http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2006/02/07/ga_bank_delayed_recording_patrick_loan/Also, the story about the poll you cite was listed in my hard copy of the Globe in NEW ENGLAND BRIEFS under the headline. "Reilly leading among state's Democratics"
The story did not appear in the online edition of the Globe.
I guess Patrick is going to get the Dean treatment from the Globe. Remember all those non-stories about the wife-beating Vermont state trooper, the unsafe Vermont nuclear plant, and the drug companies contribution of computers to Vermont schools that seemed to insinuate that Dean was an anti-feminist, pro-nuke, big-business phony? I guess after the caucus results the Globe has to puff up Reilly and bring down Patrick to make the race tighter, i.e. more interesting. Why don't they do a little investigating of Healey, Mihos and their friends? I bet there's a lot of insinuations and innuendo to be made over there on the Republican side.
But, hey, here's a better idea, why don't they stop this candidate trashing and start talking about where the candidates stand on the issues that affect the state? Nah, that would be boring and the reporters would have to do actual research.
