"Don't Ask, Don't Tell" tonight at Harvard
Received by email today at 4:40PM. Sorry for the short notice. Hope this is useful to people in the Cambridge area.

====================================

Please join me tonight at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government for an important discussion on "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," the government's discriminatory policy against gays in the military. The forum is the national kick-off of the "Call of Duty Tour" featuring six gay, lesbian and straight former service members and begins at 7 PM at the Starr Auditorium.

By discharging competent servicemembers at a time when our troops are already stretched thin, the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy has incurred hundreds of millions of dollars in unnecessary costs and purges highly skilled, critical personnel from the service. It is as senseless and counterproductive as it is un-American. The policy of the United States should be to fight the war on terror, not to advance the agenda of discrimination.

I hope you will be able to join me tonight at 7PM to discuss this important national security issue.

Sincerely,

Marty Meehan
