Commuters check in!
Edited on Mon Jul-26-04 08:10 AM by Caution
Just had my commute, from Salem to Waltham, and contrary to prevailing opinion, my commute took *less* time than usual. Significantly less time. My commute normally take 55 minutes. Today I did it in 40 (and I don't speed).

Anyone else make the trek yet? Any horror stories or similar experiences?

Od Edit: I attribute the decrease in commute time to many people simply working from home or vacationing during the DNC.

3. Also on the red line
No problems but Alewife station parking lot was a little more full than usual at 7 am. Lots of police about and at Govt. Ctr, military in uniforms (I'm guessing Nat. Guard)

It's actually rather quiet down here - guess people are staying/working from home or on vacation.

4. Easy commute from Arlington to East Cambridge
yesterday and today....I have been expecting absolute gridlock at Mass Ave and Route 60 this has not been the case yet.
Nonetheless....I am staying wary of any serious driving in and around the city.

5. Salem to Merrimack NH
128 south to 3 north. its about an hour on a given day. The funny thing is I expect my job to move into the city soon so my 50 mile commute will become a 18 mile commute and it will take about the same amount of time.
