may 17 is fast approaching
i've seen too many out-of-staters fLoating around here trying to infLuence the vote on the marriage amendment, and poLLute our LocaL media with their views (representing themseLves as the masshoLe viewpoint). we have enough of our own wack jobs here, but i digress.

after seeing some of the protesters i worry about when marriage becomes LegaL here; wiLL there be vioLence? wiLL the fundies/phobes try to stop coupLes from marrying?

shouLd i be worried? is anyone eLse concerned that some bad intentions may occur?

1. silly goose
Doncha know that the world will come to an end when gays marry?
Doncha know that the sky is falling?
Doncha know that your life is at risk if lovers decide to make their relationship legal?
Doncha know that My Way is the right way and to hell with your ideas?
Doncha know that My god will kick your god's butt?
Doncha know that rapture is on its way, and those homos will be sucked into hell's fires for eternity?
Doncha know that we have privacy, but only from a christian perspective?
Doncha know that having fun with sex is a sin?
Doncha know that women have been assigned the kitchen and the bedroom, and they better feed the brats RIGHT NOW BEFORE I BEAT YOU UPSIDE YOUR HEAD?

whew. i'm getting hot under the collar. I best be quittin' here.

It just sticks in their craw that people might want to enjoy life in their own way, and not according to a third hand version of some old jewish papers poorly translated, altered for convenience and deliberately misread as a means of controlling susceptible inbred idiots. For them, toothpaste is an accurate descriptor vs. teethpaste. Showers are optional.

2. I went to the State House and saw these hateful creatures in action
I wouldn't be worried about physical violence as much as verbal violence. Those people had no qualms about spewing hatred in front of children and encouraging them to do the same thing. It got so ridiculous my friends (gay men) started yelling things like "you hate us because we dress better". It called attention to the stupidity of the anti-gay arguments. It was also pretty funny.

Romney needs to focus on more pressing problems in the state like the lack of job creation and budget shortfalls. The same thing with O'Malley. He shouldn't be getting all political when he should be taking care of the pedophile priest issue.

3. -
shouLd it be necessary, maybe someone/you/me/yo mama shouLd form an escort (sounds dirty) group for same sex coupLes getting married? i just assume it wiLL be simiLar or worse than the abortion-cLinic protests.

that was the reason for my post... either to have my fears eased, or bring up the possibiLity of forming a "coaLition of the wiLLing" to protect/escort peopLe who need it.

6. I wrote to my state rep (Coughlin)
Told him his yes vote on the amendment would guarantee I would never vote for him. I will not do so unless he votes against it this time around.
