Detroit Free Press Marathon
I will be coming from Greensburg, PA (East of Pittsburgh) to run in the Detroit Free Press Half Marathon. This is a good chance to come out and show your support for John Kerry.

At the Great Race (10K) in Pittsburgh there was a huge Kerry sign over a driveway at the starting line. There were runners with Run Against Bush shirts and Kerry/Edwards shirts. I wore a Kerry Edwards button.

There were people along the course with Kerry signs and shouting for Kerry.

I hope to see you out along the course or participating in the race. My bib number is 5897.

2. We're neighbors...
Sort of. We're closer to Mt. Pleasant. Good luck in the marathon. We'll all be with you in spirit. :)

3. UPDATE
Great weather to run in Detroit. I saw three "Run Against Bush" t-shirts, and two Kerry bumper stickers on runners. I saw one Bush bumper sticker on a runner. I also saw a number of Kerry supporters along the route.

Thank you for showing up.

out drinks to the runners. Perhaps you saw her. :hi:

She wanted to wear her weapons of mass destruction pin, but was not allowed to because she was "on task".

5. Thank you
to your daughter. After crossing the finish line the first thing I was looking for was the water.

7. I was working the finish line!
I saw about 100 Kerry stickers/shirts/pins....
I even saw two guys running together dressed in suits, one wearing a blue tie, the other wearing a red tie finish together, with the BUSH guy pushing the Kerry guy with his arm so he could finish .01 seconds ahead. (it was planned that way apparently)

Chances are, I took your championship chip off of your shoe for you, or gave you a hug, pointed you towards the medals....etc.... Mainly I worked the Chip removal area
