My friends and fellow Michiganders!!!

I wanted to take a second before we enter the big day to say...

Wow!!! What a group!! I have met so many wonderful people in the past couple years in connection with this election. From the early Dean meetups, to the phonebanks, to talking about letter writing campaigns, to arguing about our candidates, to the Dem convention, to going to Dem HQ to pick up names, talking on doorsteps, posting here...and a missed Funday X due to circumstances beyond my control. I never realized what a wonderful groups of people we Michigan Dems are. You have all worked hard, we're all exhausted, and we should be proud!! Today I saw so many signs and freeway bloggers, it brought tears to my eyes and I had to call my good friend PassingFair to share it. A wonderful thing is happening here in Michigan and I have all of you to thank for it. Hopefully, Wednesday morning, we'll all wake up from what has seemed an endless nightmare...

...and you will all know that you made it happen!!!

Hugs and admiration to you too! Michigan definitely has a great group of dems and I am so proud to be a part of this group and also a part of D.U. I am also very proud of my AFSCME union family and all of the hard work they have been doing, as well, throughout this campaign! I am with you completely. Before I was officially active I found DU. I learned more and more, met many intelligent people and was inspired to get involved. Boy did I ever! I work more than full time hours for my local party and it's been an amazing journey.

The sources of knowledge here are endless and I share them with my RL allies. I have been very fortunate to read posts that were brilliant, inspirational and all around helpful to my efforts.

Thanks to being encouraged to get out there and join in here at DU oh so long ago I have met incredible people in my region of Michigan. Together we have managed to pull together a major movement within the Democratic party here, in a town long ago written off as Rethug territory.

I've made wonderful friends, acquired a couple of excellent mentors and enjoyed some exciting adventures. I love achieving great things for a great cause in a really great state. It's we have our cake and can it too.
