Royal Oak Precincts 17 and 20 ... high turnout
The lines got shorter at about 1:30PM (about 10-15 people in line) and then started getting longer again. Expected to go out the doors later and into the evening. Poll workers don't expect to close on time - expect late voters in line.

2. Voted in northern Michigan....
Very rural, near Gaylord. Only 100 voters as of 10:30a.m. Drove into Gaylord and saw a red van all painted up with anti-*bush messages. It was great and probably took a lot of work. Hard to get much of a feel for voter turnout but lots of Kerry yard signs.
Go get them downstate!!!!!

3. Gaylord? Is "Gay El Rancho" still there?
I'd be amazed ... given how the meaning of the word "Gay" has changed. That was a "dude ranch" back in 1961 ... and the venue for my high school senior trip. It really was a trip, too. We played poker and ping-pong when we weren't swimming or riding horses. I rode so much that I had a blister on my tailbone that was 6" in diameter. I stuffed my backside with a towel to keep riding the last two days.

4. Hilarious....
I am not familiar with the Gay-El Rancho, But your not gonna believe this, I live on Gaylanta Lake about 25 miles from Gaylord. Retired up here 2 years ago from Monroe Mi. You would not believe the looks I get when I give my address.
I thought this area was solid republican but have been shocked at the number of Kerry supporters. We have to win this I'm getting to old to go thru many more elections like this. DU has been my saving grace. Good luck and God Bless.
