Miami Documentary

Tonight at MSU, I saw the premier showing of "Not My Job," a documentary made by my friend Jake Johns about the people from Lansing who went down to the anti-FTAA protest in Miami and November and got brutalized by the police. Teenagers getting tasered for marching down the street peacefully, people getting concussions and then being randomly charged with "assaulting a police officer," sexual harassment in the holding pens, etc. Powerful, moving stuff. There were several people in the audience who had been in Miami, and at least one person was in tears by the end of the movie. Anyway, I think that it's being sold for $5 per DVD at Brighter Days Infoshop on Michigan Avenue in Lansing. Definitely worth picking up for any one who'll be in town to welcome Condi next Friday.
