St. Paul is one stop of a 20 city tour this month. Visit http://www.uslaboragainstwar.org/ for other locations.

And don't forget to sign the petition asking the AFL-CIO to address the war at its convention in July and support immediate withdrawal of the troops from Iraq.

Subject: Iraqi Union Leaders Speak Out June 16th in St. Paul!

Democracy at work in Iraq and the US?

Did you know:

In Iraq, the Bush administration still enforces Saddam Hussein's labor policies that ban unions for most of Iraq's workers.
Over 400,000 Iraqi jobs have been ‘outsourced’ and currently there is 70-80% unemployment in Iraq.
Iraqi union leaders face intimidation, torture, arrest, and death threats.
The UN Declaration of Human Rights guarantees workers the right to freely organize and form unions.
In the US, workers are illegally fired in 25% of private sector organizing campaigns.
92% of US employers try to block their workers’ efforts to form unions.
Bush has banned or curtailed collective bargaining for 925,000 US federal workers.
The freedom to choose a union is a human right. Which direction are we headed?

Don't miss this exciting opportunity to hear directly from Iraqi union leaders and learn how the Bush Administration's anti-labor agenda is hurting Iraqi working families.

Public Forum on International Worker and Human Rights
Featuring Iraqi union leaders and special guest
Thursday, June 16, 7:00 pm
700 Olive St, St. Paul (just east of 35E, north of University Ave)
(Lakes and Plains Carpenters Hall)

Please RSVP for this event by clicking here or at www.fightback05.org.

Sponsored by a broad coalition of organized labor, faith, peace, and human rights organizations.
