1. Wish he didn't play up the "good ole boy" thing so much |
|
I hate hearing him b.s. about hunting, fishing, etc. Also, I once heard him express some kind of opposition to abortion & wondered if anyone knows anything about his history in radio...

2. I only know that he started in North Dakota and now his show is syndicated |
|
by Clear Channel.
Sometimes I agree with him and sometimes I don't. He doesn't play it "safe" in what he says and that's to his credit, I guess.

the new owner that just bought up Demoracy Radio's share is a former Clear Channel CEO. His national show is syndicated by Jones Radio Network, NOT Clear Channel.
Yes, his old regional show out of Fargo (KFGO 790 AM)was syndicated (and still is by new host Joel Heitkamp (ND State Senate Democratic co-minority leader) by Clear Channel, but Ed's show is not.

7. well he used to be conservative |
|
before turning liberal a few years ago. And he also used to be a sports broadcaster. He was a play-by-play voice for college football for a number of years, and he used to be the sports director for a Fargo TV station before moving to radio full time.

6. Ed is helping the cause. |
|
I disagree with him on many issues. He really is NOT a LIBERAL, but he is a good moderate Democrat. He did piss me off with his criticism of DEAN.
HOWEVER, many moderate Americans will be able to "hear" Ed, and his "gun toting" approach will give some Americans an opening to support the Democratic Party. The CorpoMedia and the Republicans have done a good job equating "Democrat" with "tree hugging, latte drinking, Volvo driving, whiners" (Hey, I don't dring latte).
So, I'm glad Ed is out there, but I wont be going to see him.
