Minneapolis Edison High School let all of their ESL teachers go
Their plan is to hire English teachers with an ESL license. My daughter-in-law got laid off from Bethune when they decided to hire Hmong speaking ESL teachers (only about 40% of the students spoke Hmong). She has been at Edison for 3 years and was just feeling comfortable with the curriculum.

1. OMG
That is insane. Truly insane.

How sad things have gotten in MN. Truly. ;(

The governor and his cronies at the capital have to go. We need to start funding our schools like we mean it. Just crazy.

2. Grrr
Fire all the ESL teachers, and then complain that immigrants can't speak English.

Way to go, Republicans. :sarcasm:
