12. The sky was so green that I shut off the computer, just in case.. |
|
and then... a tree branch broke and blocked the driveway. I called the tree people but until I heard from them I managed to cut the thinner branches to open half the driveway. Wished I waited half an hour since by the time I was done they showed up..
No wonder the squirrels were nervous this morning went on a feeding frenzy... OK, more than the usual..

4. Not much in Park Rapids |

It got really dark for a while and looked like it could get nasty but it all blew over. At least it cooled down a little.

Some good wind gusts (estimate 40-50) and a short very heavy rain. No hail, no significant electrical activity. Already clearing. Glad I wasn't driving.

Blew away all our ArtsWork tents at Ecolab plaza. Broke a window. Thank heavens no one was in the tents at the time.

13. Yeah, what a mess that was! |
|
A power transformer on the south side of 94 was sparking, just out the nearest window. A couple of wall clouds were bumping into each other around the Hwy 52/I-94 junction, stirring up dust. The sky was green and it looked like tornado weather to me...
Wacky stuff that was.
