Twin Cities Pride Weekend: Senate Candidate Sightings

* Kobachar was riding in a convertable with Congressman Sabo during the parade, volunteers handing out stickers.

* Wetterling was not in the parade, I heard a staffer say she was having car trouble or something coming from St. Cloud, volunteers handing our stickers.

* Doran, did not see him but may have missed him in a van that had signs for a float, supporter handing out postcards.

* Ford at the festival working the crowd handing out flyers.

Could not find (or missed) booths for any of the Senate candidates at the festival.

1. I only saw a booth for

R.T. Rybak for Mayor,
otherwise all the action was down at the Stonewall DFL Booth :)

8. I saw no booth for McLaughlin either

but I did see him working the crowd on Sunday and he had a bitchin' float in the parade Sunday.

2. Bachmann conspicuous by her absence

I would have thought 6th Congressional District Candidate Michele Bachmann would have been working the Pride crowd trying to save all those lost homosexual souls bound up in the bondage of their sexual dysfunctions (bachmann's words). Michele states she doesn't hate homosexuals (remember--it's Satan to call it gay, according to Bachmann), she LOVES them. So why woudln't she turn out to celebrate their day in Minneapolis?

We had ALL the action at the DFL booth

9. Kiffmeyer rented booth but was a no-show

I heard Mary Kiffmeyer bought a booth at Pride for the Secretary of State's Office but the SoS herself never showed. Maybe she was afraid of being photographed with "those people."
