Minnesota probably won't be asked to send any National Guard to Louisiana |
|
because it has 2,600 Guardsmen going to Iraq in the next month.
I heard this on the local news on AM950 when I was driving home tonight.
What's wrong with this picture.

1. yeah. they were told to continue planning to go to Iraq... |
|
....2,600 of them....said to be the largest single call-up in state history.....great. instead of going south to help people, they will go east to be hurled into the meat grinder.

3. True, we're pretty much past tornado season |
|
and barring something like the Armistice Day Blizzard or 1940 we probably won't need them for any local disasters for a few months. It was the fact that we can't send any of them to Louisiana or Mississippi because they're going to Iraq that got me.
