Poll: Should the Vikings fire Mike Tice? at wcco.com
62% yes

(although it's not completely his fault his players keep giving the ball to the other team)

He can take Daunte with him when he goes.

3. You are not alone.

I too seem to get a lot of enjoyment from watching the Vikes humiliate themselves on TV. Also, Tice endorsed Dubya so he deserves to have a team that sucks. Of course, there's always the added bonus that the more the team sucks, the less likely they'll get their new stadium. When you look at it that way, the players are doing taxpayers a favor by playing like crap. I bet the new owner is absolutely thrilled with his investment. ;)

MsAnthropy: They've had a lot of practice at losing but at least they know how to do SOMETHING well. ;)

6. Yep. Here's a quote and a link from an article.
But inside Target Center, it was safe Bush territory. The president picked up one notable Minnesota endorsement when he was introduced by Mike Tice, the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings.

"When I wake up in the morning, I feel safe," said Tice, who gave Bush a Vikings jersey with his name and the number 1 emblazoned on the back. "I feel my family is safe, and I certainly feel our country is safe and protected, knowing President Bush is in the White House."

I hope Tice is proud of his endorsement now, especially considering that MN went blue. Apparently his judgment regarding political endorsements is every bit as good as his coaching skills. ;)

13. I read something different
He showed up at the Target Center event, just because he certainly didn't want to turn down the president. Thought it was an honor.

Also refused to take sides last year, but tried to be cordial.

Take it for what it's worth.

8. All the more reason Tice has to go if he supports Bush!!
The incompetence must be contagious!

Poor Ziggy. He's got all that land in Blaine set aside for a stadium before it's even been approved. He'll have to keep looking for a decent team to put in it.

7. Fire Tice, Send Vikings to NODAK.
Tice supports the smirk. They should sit down together and discuss how they lose all the time.

10. I'm glad I don't live in Anoka County
But it looks like we'll all be paying for it anyway, with $200 million "infrastructure costs"

11. I'm glad I don't live there, either.
Although I'm extrememly disappointed with the $200 million infrastructure costs, I'm pleased that they're getting their stadium.
I just don't think we should have to pay for something many Minnesotans cannot even afford: Vikings tickets.

12. Democrats as guilty as Republicans
Once again, Democrats like Dean Johnson will line up behind the billionaire sports owners with the false promise of "jawbs, jawbs, jawbs" to vacuum taxpayers pockets. How many hundreds of millions of dollars will this all add up to when you calculate "infrastructure" costs for two new stadiums for billionaires and another new stadium for fat-cat U of M alumni?

14. Tice gets egged
(AP-Minneapolis)
Police reported that some individual attempted to "egg" Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Tice's house last night. An empty egg carton was recovered at the scene. Two eggs hit Mr. Tice's house, three eggs went over his house and hit his neighbor's back door, two eggs hit the houses of each of his next door neighbors, a neighbor caught two of the eggs before they reached Tice's house, and the remaining three eggs were found broken on the ground near the carton from where the individual threw them. Based on the evidence found at the scene, police investigators are planning on questioning Vikings quaterback Daunte Culpepper in connection with the incident.
