Hey! Do you see Patty Wetterling's ad on the homepage??!!
The ad says she's "The only Senate candidate with the courage to set a date. Bring them home now!"

Good going Patty!

:applause:

I hope more anti-war Dems follow suit.

Stop playing politics with peoples' lives!

2. I just saw it.
Most excellent.

I also got this e-mail today . . .

-------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Friends,

For many Americans, the events surrounding Hurricanes Katrina and Rita once again revealed the need for real leadership and the right priorities in Washington.

This past Saturday, I became the first U.S. Senate candidate in the country to call upon the Bush Administration to end our involvement in Iraq by a specific date---Thanksgiving 2006.

I can no longer watch another American soldier die or another American dollar be spent fighting a war that has no plan, and seemingly no end.

We're spending too much money on the wrong priorities. In the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, we must commit ourselves to finding funding for health care, job creation, education, rebuilding our own Gulf, and keeping America safe.

With a 9% lead over the Republican candidate, over 13,000 donors, and 70% statewide name ID, our grassroots movement is on the winning track to keep this Senate seat in Democratic hands. But I need your help!

I'm asking you today to join our movement to bring our troops home and keep the nation's focus on the right priorities. Please consider making a contribution of $1000, $500, $250, $100, or $50.

I've been warned that I'll be attacked on this, but for me this is what I feel in my heart. And I strongly believe that anyone running for the United States must say where they stand on the most important question we face as a nation.

With the $200 billion allocated to fight the war in Iraq, we could pay for over 26 million children to attend a year of Head Start, provide health insurance for over 118 million children, or pay the salaries of 3.4 million public school teachers for one year.

These are real dollars that could be spent on real solutions for the challenges we face as a nation.

New priorities, new leadership, and a new approach are what I will bring to the United States Senate. But I need your help to get there. Please consider making a contribution today.

Thank you,

Patty Wetterling

P.S. Please visit my website and sign our petition urging President Bush and Congressional Leadership to bring our troops home by Thanksgiving 2006.

4. Democratic Underground A Hate Blog?
Check out what Minnesota Democrats Exposed is saying about Patty for advertising on DU. I wonder what this guy thinks about Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilly.

6. That guy is an idjit:
A while back I posted a couple of pictures from the Air Expo of a couple of guys dressed up as Wehrmacht displaying German army equipment. The caption I put was something about college Republicans Recruiting day.
He posted that as his Outrage du Jour, putting up my business address and phone number from my website.

Nobody contacted me, though, so must not have much of a following.
This guy is always up on anyone writing political literature on government computers or time. Just the Democrats, though, of course.
After all, HE'S THE DEMOCRAT EXPOSER!!

Waaaay too much time on his hands, for sure.
He should move out of Momma's basement and do something productive with his life.

7. Gotta love anonymous blogs not accepting anonymous posts
MN Democrats Exposed is a typical hypocritical right-wing blogger. Although he protecst his identity like it's a state secret, he won't allow anonymous posts to his rumor-mill. Mitch Berg, another pathetic right-wing blogger and chickenhawk buddy of MDE, is cut from the same cloth. They think their mission in life is to expose anyone who uses a work computer for posting to the internet. They are the self-appointed guardians of employers everywhere. And if Berg doesn't like your comments, he'll alter them without informing readers.

14. Mitch Berg responds... sort of...

Just thought you might enjoy this... Mitch posted this via his Blog.

http://www.shotinthedark.info/

As for the people he banned, I'm one of them. He didn't like me getting all technical with facts and stuff so he banned me. The funniest part was that one of his regulars, a guy who posts with pretty conservative, right wing stuff emailed me with tips on how to get around the ban and how to by-pass Mitch's little disemvoweling trick...

It wasn't until he posted my real name and location AND I received a few harassing calls from his readers that I quit posting there.

If you do post there, do so at your own risk. In my opinion, he is nothing but a vindictive and pompous thug.

Bat Spittle Crazies, Delivered To Your Door

MDE and I got a write-up on Democrat Underground the other day.

And by "Write-up", I mean "writing" in the same sense that a two-year-old "paints" with an airbrush.

"MN Democrats Exposed is a typical hypocritical right-wing blogger. Although he protecst his identity like it's a state secret, he won't allow anonymous posts to his rumor-mill.

This sounds like the same moron who whined to half the leftyblogosphere when I altered his puerile, off-topic, harangueing, insulting comment for my own amusement.

Buddy? Tough! When you crap on someone's carpet, they are not bound to be hospitable or respectful!

Mitch Berg, another pathetic right-wing blogger and chickenhawk buddy of MDE, is cut from the same cloth.

The ham-fisted, neanderthal pace...the clunky command of style...the hamfisted, broad insults (this guy can't finish a sentence without "pathetic" in it. Hmmmmm)...it sounds like one of the morons who kept pestering me with half-literate drivelments last spring. A couple of them got threatening, so I published their work IP addresses. I hope it gave 'em a scare, truly.

They think their mission in life is to expose anyone who uses a work computer for posting to the internet.

Nope, my mission in life is to raise my kids to be a couple of good human beings. If someone threatens me on my blog, exposing them is less "Mission" than "avocation".

Hint to the DU writer: "Avocation" is not an ingredient in guacamole.

They are the self-appointed guardians of employers everywhere. And if Berg doesn't like your comments, he'll alter them without informing readers."

Actually, if you get grossly rude, insulting or threatening, yes. I'll mock you, I'll alter your comments for the amusement of me and my audience, and to ensure that your puerile "point" is turned into an even bigger joke than you could manage! Count on it!

However, I can count on two hands the posts I've materially altered. I've banned exactly two people from my blog, which is a fraction of the number a lot of lesser blogs have blackballed.

MDE was nice enough to add:

Getting compared to Mitch Berg is a huge compliment.

Well, not so much - but thanks!

And all you DUllards out there; you're dumber than the rest of us.

Hmmmmm. Seems Chickenhawk Berg can't finish a sentence without "ham-fisted" (or is it hamfisted?) in it.

And NEANDERTHAL? Just an anagram for THE NARN DEAL.

10. I'm happy to see her come out against the war too.
Regardless of what "setting a date" really means, as we have a Republican controlled House, Senate, and Administration, that clearly are committed to extending this war far beyond Thanksgiving 2006, I applaud her for doing it. Any progress, is progress, and it helps the anti-war cause to have a high profile name like Patty coming out against the war. So, I too am happy she did, and hope more politicians also come out strongly opposing this hateful war.

Posting bullshit is still bullshit, no matter how fast you post it.
