I have long stopped watching their news but... I like some of ABC shows that am stuck with their games. And earlier this evening, instead of letting "Invasion" ends peacefully, it broke in to show.... some stupid lottery balls. Or something.

If this was so important they could have broke into their own commercial but noooo, these are sacred.

1. All the news channels are lame.

Dave Moore is rolling in his grave. Half the newscast is a commercial for some business or another, and they hide behind their coverage of local issues for not covering important national stories. They are pathetic.

crimes, fires, and sports, with an occasional car crash or cute kitten/puppy story and a commercial-disguised-as-news-story thrown in.

4. It's not just here

I stopped watching local news in Raleigh when I lived there.
People want news magazines..... not real news! Don't you know that ;)

These people are so self-absorbed. Especially the weather guys with their billion dollar doppler 5 trillion that can count the number of raindrops failling on your house.

5. Cursor

If you haven't seen this website, it shows local news for what it really is. It looks like they're putting more into the national page than the Twin Cities page now (it started here)

6. Fox 9 is the worst

They have the empitiest hour long show each night it is pretty unblieveable. All the other stations do have lots of meat in their newscasts compared to Fox 9, even though they still have a ways to go.

KMSP 9 was actually pretty good and even somewhat left-leaning before they were bought out by Murdoch.

7. Kare11 is the best

Both 11 and 4 are pretty good.

8. Yes, I stopped watching Ch. 5 long time ago

We catch them in the morning, for weather and traffic and previous days stories.

But by 10:00 pm it is the Daily Show.

was that one of their staffers had to change their vacation plans because of the hurricane. :cry: The lead story. I. Kid. You. Not.
