Vigils in recognition of the 2000th soldier killed

Tuesday and Wednesday there will be vigils in recognition of the 2000th soldier killed in Iraq since the invasion.

Check MoveOn for national efforts and www.worldwidewamm.org for a vigil organized locally.

One vigil is scheduled for Tuesday at the Capitol at 6:30 pm. There are at least a dozen Twin Cities sites listed on the MoveOn website.

WAMM has one planned for the Lake St Bridge but they haven't announced a day yet.

1. Oops. The host of the Capitol vigil said it is NOT tonight (Tuesday)

The date for the Candlelight Vigil to mourn the Iraq casualties and
demand an exit plan from the Government will not be at the Capitol Tuesday night. I'll forward on the announcement as soon as I know - it will be held the day after the 2000th casualty is reported. 3. can't make it

i have class on wednesday nights,which normally wouldn't stop me. but it's my cool class (political philosophy), i have a paper due, and i have an exam in it.

I'd really like to be there though.
