Millionaire Matt Entenza's years of lying, stacking House DFL staff with campaign hacks, and generally poisoning the atmosphere at the House have finally come to fruition with his announcement for attorney general. If the DFL knows what's good for the party, it will promptly dump Pretenza as House minority leader and then find an honest candidate for attorney general.
And if anyone believes that Pretenza had anything to do with the DFL picking up 13 seats in the 2004 elections, think again. The only thing he did was open up his multimillionaire United Health executive wife's checkbook--and you see where that got him and the party (the matter is still under investigation by the FEC). His millions are the only reason the DFL continues to put up with this creep.
Minnesota's Watchdog, my ass.

1. Given how Hatch has taken on the insurance companies |

(especially the HMOs) while he's been AG, I really wonder about Entenza taking over that position - and who's encouraging him to run for it.
Hatch couldn't do much about UHG because it's for profit and can't sell an HMO product in Minnestoa, but he did question the cozy relationship Medica has with it. I just don't see Entenza doing that.
