I am hiding out from the flu bug today. Wish I could be there. Hope to see you after flu season.

My Aunt got mail to day from the lawyer that handled the sale of her home two years ago. It gave some of the details about the reconciliation bill that was railroaded through Congress. Lots of details for almost everyone over age 50 or disabled but the bottom line said it all:

Do not apply for Medicaid or enter the VA hospital without consulting a lawyer. These MN lawyers are advocates for the elderly and disabled and do lots of probono work. They send out this newsletter to people they have worked with on their own dime. I know they are not saying this to drum up business.

My mail just was a $200 bill because my life threatening facial/dental infection went over the dental limit of $500 last year. That was for yet another extraction in November, I'd held out as long as I could. Still may be more due because a piece of bone that broke off floated to the surface of the gum and poked through so I had to go have that removed right after Christmas. I tried to do it myself but I couldn't get it out.

I didn't leave until almost 9 and there were still a few people left.

Regarding your facial/dental infection - have you talked to your health insurance carrier? Several years ago my neighbor's son had what started as an abcessed tooth that blew into a major infection in his face and their medical insurance did pick up some of the tab...Though they had to fight for it.

The talk about what is going on around us is frightening and the general consensus that our representatives are doing very little is alarming. Somehow we need to light a fire under all the dems. The time is right for throwing the "Culture of Corruption" out.

As you know I was sporting Democratic Underground T-shirt last night. Moving Large Banner. I didn't buy it, but I mentioned DU to a "client" and they bought it for me. The lady was so infuriated at the news of today, that I told her she had to check out DU. I know she checked far enough to get me the T. :thumbsup:

I went to buy a beer last night and the bartender asked me," how can it be underground if you have it plastered all across your shirt". I felt like a salesman and did a little explaining and said that if he was left leaning at all that he may like it. Then I pointed to our great group and boasted the fact that DP and Bvar were live blogging right from the table. The tender said that he was more left leaning than most democrats and would check out the site.

If our bartender comes here, I would like to Welcome him to the Forum.

I just laughed at the first one.
There is more truth to it than I am willing to admit.
I took a couple of pics, but they are not postable.
My camera was set on "Macro" (this months Photography Forum contest).
My pictures from last night (both of them) are interesting, but everything furhter than 2" from the lens is out of focus.
"Some are saying that is a HUGH improvement!"
