Bowing to pressure. Keep it a SECRET that soldiers are dying.

Tally of war dead removed from candidate's window in Duluth

DULUTH — The sign showing the number the American troops killed and wounded in Iraq has been removed from its prominent spot next to a U.S. Army recruiting office in downtown Duluth.
Scott Cameron says he took down the sign from the window of the campaign office of state Senator Steve Kelley For Governor to make amends with Iraq war veterans who were offended by it.

Cameron also said he supports the troops and didn't want people to think he was insulting the troops. Cameron is a combat-wounded Vietnam War vet, a veterans' rights activist and a campaign volunteer for Kelley.

2. Cameron put up a good fight. I think he was probably pressured to
take it down by Kelly or other campaign staff.

3. Thank an old soldier
It's hard to fight for your country in war, then have to come home and continue to fight. You become worn down. Today, the battle for America (like the civil war) is pitting family and friends against each other. He's probably just had enough. Who isn't tired from the ceaseless attacks on us. How often do you think of leaving it all behind?

Almost every day I wish for life before 911, Bu$hCo, Iraq, I Spygate...Some veterans like my dad (Vietnam) carry deep scars that aren't visible to the eye. Combat situations even politically local ones often break these scars open and they weep blood, tears, conflicting emotions, guilt and pain. After so very many fights, they are frail and thinned hearted. They can no longer take the point. So it's up to us.

Next time you see him, thank him for doing so much. It more than most and probably at a higher cost.

4. Well, maybe since the building owner threatened to evict them...
or so I was told at a local forum on the war, a few weeks ago.

6. I thought they had contacted the ACLU.
There were people from the office at the forum. I'm not pleased to see how it turned out.
