I had a personal phone call from Ford Bell today

I would guess he must be calling caucus lists. We had a brief, but very pleasant conversation. I let him know I had decided to support him after hearing him at the last SCC meeting and that I had been impressed with his interview on MPR Friday and talked a bit about George McGovern. I could have kept babbling for some time, but I did get control of myself, told him I knew he had a lot of calls to make, that I would support him at the caucus and SD convention and thanked him for calling.

1. Am impressed, too, at least on paper

We were out of town and in the mail two fliers:

- Single payer health care

- commitment to reduce reliance on foreign oil

- withdraw our troops from Iraq

3. I've received several mailings from him in the past couple weeks

I'm still assuming they're coming off the 2004 caucus lists though it could be from past campaigns. The carbons on the caucus lists are sometimes impossible to decipher and a lot of mistakes get made when they're transcribed, that could explain why some people aren't getting anything.

I have not received a single mailing or a single phone call and I'm on the senate district executive committee. I'm supporting him but there seem to be some holes in his phone/mail list.
It seems everyone else that's running for anything has called.

4. Probably a DFL list

and it is full of holes and missing info. As I've posted here during the special SD-43 elections, I got a flyer with my name connected with "and" to the former resident of this address - more than 3 years ago!
