President Bush dropped by this morning, his eighth Minnesota visit.

His speech is just cover, allowing the government to pick up most of his travel costs. In truth, the President will warmly accept another small mountain of thousand dollar checks. That's pretty much why he travels.

President Bush leaves Washington, DC, for three reasons: long weekends at Camp David, Texas ranch vacations, or fund raising jaunts. Minnesota is not a Bush holiday destination. That only leaves money.

Senator Coleman rarely misses an opportunity to criticize Senator John Kerry. Coleman didn't disappoint me that day, trotting out the thinly veiled "Hanoi John" hatchet-job rhetoric.

Thirty, thirty-five years ago, Vietnam veterans returned home to derision, contempt, indifference, embarrassment and scorn. Today, draft-dodging Republican warhawks are still figuratively spitting on John Kerry. It was wrong then; it's wrong now.

President Bush expects to scoop up $3,000,000 this morning, attending a "function" at property developer David Frauenschuh's house. That cash funds the Republican plan to capture Minnesota's electoral votes.

Here in Minnesota, the House Democrats are leading the fight for a better Minnesota and a better America. We're not going to let George W. Bush win Minnesota.
