1. I'm going too & I hope...

we will have a better showing at the concert than i am seeing in the media & being talked about on here. The first two concerts out east were sold out! From what i have heard the St Paul concert isnt even close! Grrrr!!! Just wouldn't look good if we dont have a good showing here in MN.

I hope they allow cameras in as I would post pics too!

2. I found out about photography

from Xcel Center's website. No cameras with detachable lenses, only cameras with 2" or less lenses. No flash. No video at all.

I have a Nikon D70 so that will have to stay home but Mrs. Dodger has a small digital we can use. If we get any decent pictures, I will post the links here.

5. Local media lying about concert??????????

Am i the only one with this on my mind??? Why is this a big deal? As we all know, this is a pro-Kerry concert tour & a bad showing at the concert would be used by local news media to show weak support for Dems in this state, in my mind.

I just went to the KQRS website and they have a icon on the homepage "Bruce Springsteen "sold out!". I just went to the ticketmaster website...the concert is no where close to sold out!!!

Am i reading into the local media coverage (or there lack of) too much?

the Free press review from Detroit said Springsteen opens with an acoustic version of "the Star Spangled Banner" and then the band bursts into "Bord in the USA!"
My god! What an experience THAT would be!
Hell, I might just take my son, too (14). He might like to see a piece of history in the making...

8. WHAT A CONCERT! WOW!!!

It does not get any better than last night's concert!!! The music was great!

As far as the attendance goes that i was worried about last night, let me say this; i dont know what the record is for the x center attendance wise but last night had to be tops!!! the whole floor was shoulder to shoulder of people...every seat in the house was filled!!! even in back of the stage!!! minnesota sure showed their suppoort last night!!!

9. Outstanding show!

Over 5 hours, I am in a bit of a fog at work today, but it ws worth it.
Special guest Neil Young, wow! And yes, he did play Keep On Rockin' In the Free World.
John Fogerty muffed the lyrics to Fortunate Son but it was all good.
Everybody jammed together at various times and had the place rocking.
Michael Stipe even mingled with the masses on the floor during Bruce's set.

It was worth every penny.

10. Absolutely fantastic

and I had to leave before John Fogerty. ( 1 1/2 hour drive home)

I took my 16 year old. What an experience. Worth every penny is correct!!!!

They're not all that hot, we had to bring the crappy little digital camera because they would not allow the "Big Gun" (Nikon D70).
