So, here it is, March 30 - a winter storm watch has been posted for the area |
|
and I'm looking at my opening day ticket. Sure wish that new-no-retractable-roof stadium that we're all paying for was open. :sarcasm:
I figure if the weather turns out to be as bad tomorrow as the predictions say it could be, the idiots who came up with the stadium design will be screaming the Twins need a new, new stadium before tomorrow's game is over.

3. This Rich Man's Welfare™ called a stadium has completely turned me off of baseball. |

Thirty years ago they were screaming for a domed stadium for sports.
And, of course, the Twins are fishing for a corporate sponsor to slap their name on the thing, too. What an abomination that'll be... 3M Field? Pillsbury Park? Golden Plump Stadium? Caribou Coffee Clubhouse?
How about Killebrew Field or Puckett Park?

At least the weather seemed a bit more typical this year. Honestly we could have done with a bit more snow though.

We are building a open air stadium because everything in Minnesota is done half assed. Bridges, light rail, stadiums. We never do it right the 1st time and every Minnesotan pays. We are already spending about 300 million. Why not spend a little more and do a retractable?

8. I have my unused ticket here at home |

I couldn't justify the 140 mile (round trip) drive in those conditions. I looked at it longingly as I watched the game on TV.

9. You made a wise decision |
|
but I am so sorry you missed the game.
Things aren't looking quite as good so far tonight - but it's only the top of the 4th.
