"How to prepare for a possible depression" Tonight's Good Question on WCCO's 10 o'clock news
let's boost ratings by talking economic disaster. I guess terror and bird flu don't scare us anymore.

1. Maybe we should just use the plastic sheeting and duct tape
left over from the last color coded Terror Alert.

Idiots.

2. I emailed them and asked them to do this weeks ago when they were hyping something truly silly.

We really are not all on the same page are we? Are we pretending that nobody in Minnesota got caught up in the mortgage scam, or is now unable to find any job? THE economy crashed in August 2007. It is de leveraging from the top down. They changed the rules to allow more speculating in food commodities two years ago and people right now are eating dirt in Haiti. Minnesota not just Florida, Ohio and California has a huge for closure rate, newly homeless kids are showing up in all the schools, they are cutting medicaid. You cannot fix a problem if you are denying it exists.

Wow, just wow.

Subject: What are you going to do about this?

Governor Siegelman who was railroaded into jail by his political opponets and a corrupt judge,
is going to be featured on CBS 60 minutes but only because the internet bloggers took up the case
when the White
House asked that the story be pulled. It is my contention that newspeople are only copy readers
when it comes to things other than our local news and even that can be influenced. This blog post
came out today. Governor Siegelman is the first but probably not the last political prisoner in our new
America.

There is a very good possibility judging from the actions of our current President that he does not want
to step down. Reihnquist who put him in office in 2000 wrote
about America needing a monarchy. All that is needed is a trigger, attack, economic collapse, threat of
disease and they rules are in place for suspension of the Constitution and the final end to America.

What are you going to do about this? Are you waiting until they start torturing news people for information on sources?
The looming total collapse of the world's economy, very much including ours, from the dodgy paper monetary instruments is imminent. Nobody is
going to be spared but you can either keep helping the people who did this to us or you can start actually
telling the truth, things people need to know to survive the coming year. Or you can draw your salary, repeat
what the corporations want you to say and pretend you are not seeing what really is going on around you.

(Copying the information below has confused my email editor. It will not let me cut and paste to fix it so
I apologize for the roughness of this message.)

3. KARE's morning "news" featured their new website...
Instead of news they ran a commercial featuring their new website. They do this every day. They should stop referring to themselves as news organizatons.

4. The May sweeps have started
and the Good Question segments last maybe 2 or 3 minutes. I doubt they can give us a whole lot of useful advice in that time. WCCO's old "I-Team" unit used to do some good investigations (especially during sweeps) if they were still doing that sort of reporting, they might actually tell us something we could use.
