2. I sure hope so!

I've been working with Moveon to GOTV lately and there are a lot more Kerry-Edwards signs in St. Paul than Bush-Cheney. And, when we canvas, Bush-Cheney people act all embarrassed to say they are voting this way--they are even reluctant to say it!

8. I live on the East Side in St. Paul

and while we're pretty heavily Democratic, there are little pockets of Republicans here and there. I have noticed that the houses that had Coleman signs up in 2002 have signs for Gregory Le May but none of them have B/C signs. Judging by that, it would appear that *'s support has eroded in households that tend to vote Republican. I did a rather informal sign count on the way back from canvassing last Sunday and counted 15 K/E signs to 3 B/C.

I only talked to one major idiot when I was working the phones for Kerry a couple weeks ago. "Strong Bush supporter" the guy snapped. "Wanna know why?"
"Certainly, Sir, if you'd care to share that information."
"The Second Amendment."
"AH. You're pro-death. Got it."

Now mind you, being a gun-owning gran, I have nothing against the Second Amendment per se, but I happen to like ALL of it, not just
"....the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

There IS more to it.

6. I've never lost faith in MN.

Even though we've been taking a right turn for some time now, I knew that we could never swing Bush's way. He's way too extreme for us. We're too politically active in general; we pay attention, and we vote!
