I smell Karl Rove in the Coleman legal troubles.
This is so much like the Dan Rather situation. Set up the victim (Rather/Franken) with information (military record/lawsuit) that encourages comment and speculation. Come swooping in with blame (Bush and bloggers/Coleman) that the victim (Rather/Franken) is responsible.

1. I don't think so. Reading the Harper's article from last month they were questioning why his wife

was working at the insurance company. I think it was done for the money to be funneled from the start. I would like to hear how much "work" she does there. It states also in the Harper's article that despite her working there Norm doesn't list a job description or salary on the Senate financial disclosure forms.
It is starting to all pull together. I think he is in deep doo doo unless they hid it well enough. I will never be convinced that he didn't do something illegal. http://harpers.org/archive/2008/10/hbc-90003661

It’s not clear why a risk management firm would require the services of Laurie Coleman, an aspiring actress and the inventor of the “Blo & Go,” a hands-free hair drying device (“The whole key to this is the suction,” she has explained of her product’s utility.) Coleman’s financial disclosure form doesn’t list his wife’s job description or salary. LeRoy Coleman, the senator’s spokesman, declined to elaborate; the firm did not reply to a request for comment.

2. Mayor Chris Coleman (D-St. Paul) agrees.
I just saw video of him on the news saying this seems like Karl Rove.

3. Pretty late in the game
If it were a rovian plot you'd think they would have played their cards earlier- only one day to the election now.
