In my neighborhood there were people cheering in the streets |
|
and yelling out their windows when Obama was declared the winner earlier tonight. Wow. Just amazing. Even still people are yelling for joy intermittently. So awesome.
C'MON AL, PLEASE!!!
sad I gotta go to bed now. ;_;
I'm in the Stevens Square area, btw. Similar public outbreaks of joy all around, I suppose??? I LOVE IT.

1. I left a gathering of DUers in St. Paul to drive home, and as I was going |
|
down Lake Street, I could see people at bus stops talking excitedly into their cell phones and high-fiving one another. On the whole, though, Lake Street seemed almost deserted, which was why I made it home so quickly.

in south minneapolis last night. And cheers into the chilly night "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAMA!" by random neighbors. It reminds me of the Network moment with people sticking their heads out of windows. I'll never forget it.
