MINNESOTA US HOUSE RESULTS
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING

The DU admins are posting a number of official results threads in the various state forums. These threads are being made available for those members who wish to participate in them on Election Night.

A full listing of campaign results will appear on the DU homepage on Election Night.

This thread is for posting election results ONLY. Please do not use this thread for discussion. There is an entire message board that you can use for discussion. PLEASE PUT THE MOST IMPORTANT INFORMATION IN THE TITLE OF YOUR POST. DON'T FORGET THE DISTRICT NUMBER! Then include the candidate names (Dem first, then Republican), the current result, and the precincts reporting, like so:

04: Candidate A 53%, Candidate B 46%, 38 precincts reporting

For large states with many House races, you may wish to limit your postings in uncontested races to simply posting the final result.

04: Candidate A declared winner over Candidate B

There are going to be lots of results threads, and it will be difficult for the moderators to police all of them. If someone tries to disrupt, please hit alert on their post to let the moderators know. If this thread goes off topic, feel free to give others a polite reminder about the purpose of this thread.

5. I hate to be negative...
But the Daly & Wetterling campaigns were two of the worst run congressional races I have ever seen.

Wetterling was on the defensive from day 1. She never articulated a clear difference between herself and Kennedy and positioned herself so far left, she had no chance in that district - 95% name ID or not. Frankly, the only thing that anyone heard from her was whining about Screech being mean...and whiners never win.

The Daly campaign was even worse. Their commercials were junk, their campaign had very little prescence in the district and Teresa was a terrible candidate. The only thing they had going for them was an ability to raise an exorbitant amount of money...about $1 million, I think...For those of you without a calculator, that's about $50,000 for every point she lost by.

For shame...

7. Yep, she beat Lynda Boudreau, who is one of the nastiest
'human beings' on the face of the earth. I am SO GLAD this happened. I'm very proud of Minnesota - we stood up to the beast and said NO.
