Did anyone hear me on Midday today? (Monday)
The topic was voting issues, and they had these "experts" who all agreed with each other about how there "may have been problems" but that anyone who thought there was widespread cheating was "a conspiracy theorist." They also had someone who said that yes, exist polls had always been accurate before, but the fact that so many were wrong this time meant that they "must not have been administered properly."

I didn't have the facts and figures handy, so I decided to bring up the fact that I wouldn't trust an ATM without a paper trail, that I had been in situations where having a paper trail had saved me in a dispute with the bank, and that with my limited experience with computers, I could think up two non-detectable hacks for voting totals.

The guests made me so angry that I actually sat in a parking ramp with my cell phone on hold to talk to them.

3. I heard you!
Great call. I was so angry with the guests trying to rationalize away all the vote discrepencies. Damn apologists.

But you came on, and I could see the point you were making and I loved it. Yeah. You were cool, calm and collected. Under the circumstances, that must have been difficult.

BTW, MPR has been giving quite a bit of coverage to the vote fraud, but they always have people on who try to minimize all the hacking, lying and cheating that has and is taking place. Now why is that???

4. I did hear you!
I was driving and didn't realize it was you, Lydia, but I remember thinking how well-informed and precise the caller sounded.

7. The guy mumbled something about how the machines could
always be programmed to internally record something different from what was on the receipt--thereby proving my point that the machines were hackable! :-)

10. Well, I had turned the radio off because they were piping the
program into my cell phone, and shortly after the guy as much as admitted that the machines were hackable, they cut me off.

I was already standing outside the car in the parking ramp, so I just moved on to do my errands.

11. Great job. Thank you for adding some balance to the program.
Unfortunately, I can't stand to listen to MPR any more. Besides the NPR news & commentary (that TOTALLY SUCKS), MPR seems to be going down the tubes as well. I'll take Straight Talk & Air America with all of their commercials over MPR/NPR any day.
