Kerry talks about the BIRTH TAX on first day back in Senate!
http://ap.tbo.com/ap/breaking/MGBHGEU1O1E.html

....referring to the change from the $5.6 trillion in surpluses that were projected for the next 10 years when Bush took office in 2001, to the $2.3 trillion in deficits now estimated for the coming decade. Kerry and other Democrats complained that those bills will have to be paid by future generations.

"This can be called a birth tax, a birth tax that is dumped on the back of every American child unwillingly," Kerry said.

6. Can anyone dare to bring up the war and the slaughter based on
Bush's lies? It certainly is the most egregious of all atrocities. Is there anyone around the halls of congress that is willing to call it like it is? For the sake of honesty and integrity and the things we thought at one time were important?

Is there any honest man to be found or do I have to keep living in this barrel and going around with a lantern searching for an honest man?

7. a meme is born!
'way to go, JK.

And via TalkingPointsMemo:

Rep John Dingell (D-MI) on Majority Leader Tom DeLay (TX-R): "These folks talk about values and decency, but then think it’s okay to change the rules once it appears one of their own may have broken them. This amounts to a work release program for the ethically challenged. We should all remember that a decade ago, Mr. DeLay helped to create this rule. Republicans said at the time they were the party of reform and good government. Now they’ve become the party of moribund hubris."

Not such a lame-duck congress after all.
