"Wellstone!" a major documentary about Paul and Sheila Wellstone, produced by Hard Working Pictures and distributed by Carry It Forward, will be featured at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, at the Reif Center.
"Wellstone!" is a two-part multi-media project challenging viewers to re-examine their own participation in democracy. This 90-minute film explores the origin of Paul Wellstone’s politics, his upset election against Rudy Boschwitz to the U.S. Senate, his deep bond with his wife and "co-senator" Sheila, and the legacy of a life of progressive populism. He was the Minnesota progressive who defied traditional politics to win a seat in the U.S. Senate.
