The Nov. 28 article summarizing the state's leading economists' take on the state of the economy ("Tough economic choices ahead") closed with these brains trying to figure out some catch phrases in order to capture the public's attention.

In my circle we refer to the "birth tax." Every American baby now comes into this world with a $75,000 tax burden on its tiny shoulders.

We've gotta keep getting the message out there that this administration's policies are disastrous.

There are so many things wrong, it's a daunting task to try to change the common views on any one thing.

However, think about Audubon who came from England and set a goal to draw pictures of every different species of bird on the continent. Patience and persistence. That's what it takes.
