9. Follow-up

That's pretty wierd, dude...I did a reverse DNS lookup; their IP address is 198.174.170.70 and I was able to ping their server, but when I tried to access them via HTTP, the connection was refused. I tried disabling my cookies and it still didn't work.

I did a Google search and saw this link:

www.gop-mn.org

which I was able to access.

Has everyone whose access has been denied been to Freeperville? The only way they could be blocking certain people is by putting their IP address on an access list. Do you have a static IP or is it dynamically assigned? I'm going to try resetting my DSL modem, which should get me a different IP, then I'll try it again.

10. Did a Google search on mngop.com

It states that you need a username/passowrd, which suggests to me that it isn't a public site. My guess is that someone would have to have a logon script on their computer to access this site.

I think the people who think they hit this site may have actually hit mngop.org, not .com.
